In tillage, on W-facing slope. Circular enclosure visible as cropmark of bank in aerial photograph (GSIAP, W387), except where respected by field boundary to S. Arc formed by light-coloured band of soil visible to W and N; field boundary to S appears to incorporate remains of bank (int. H 1.4m; ext. H 1.6). Roadway skirts bank to S. May be levelled single-ramparted ringfort (diam. c. 31yd) recorded by Bowman (1934, 548) on Denis O'Connell's land. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Cork. Volume 4: North Cork' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 2000).
