In level pasture. Depicted as hachured circular enclosure on 1904 and 1938 OS 6-inch maps, cut off-centre to WSW by disused roadway running NNW-SSE. According to local information, section of enclosure to E of roadway levelled c. 1981. Heavily overgrown, earthen bank (int. H 1.55m; ext. H 1.2m) survives on W side of roadway except at SSW; external fosse skirted by field boundary. Remains of limekiln in bank to SW and to N on line of bank. Recorded by Bowman (1934,542) as 'double-ramparted, each c. 12ft wide. Fosse 10ft. wide, 7ft. deep' with about two-thirds of 'outer rampart' levelled; possible souterrain (CO041-190---) in interior.
