In pasture, on NW-facing slope. Depicted as hachured circular enclosure on 1842 OS 6-inch map; hachured as bivallate circular enclosure (diam. c. 25m), truncated by roadway to NE and by field boundary to SE on 1904 and 1937 OS 6-inch maps. Enclosure inaccessible due to heavy overgrowth of gorse and briars. Two earthen banks with intervening fosse visible through overgrowth, ESE->W; trench dug along line of intervening fosse as shown on 1937 OS 6-inch map. Interior overgrown, appears level; souterrain (CO040-06102-) in N half. Recorded by Bowman (1934, 255) as double ramparted fort called 'Lisin na Mealbhog' on T. O'Connor's land; diam. 35yd with inner rampart c. 7ft H; intervening fosse c. 15ft wide; outer rampart c. 5ft H. Possible ringbarrow (CO040-139---) immediately outside ringfort to W.
