What is recorded here

In pasture, on S-facing slope. Circular area (23.25m E-W; 22m N-S) defined by low, worn, earthen bank (int. H 0.5m); with intervening fosse and outer bank (H 1.3m) surviving N->SW. Gap (Wth 1.75m) in inner bank to NW; second gap (Wth 2.2m) through both banks to ESE. Field fence running approximately N-S curves to respect enclosure on E side. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Cork. Volume 3: Mid Cork' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1997).
