Not marked on 1842 and 1904 OS 6-inch maps. In pasture, on N-facing slope near brow of hill. Site of standing stone (9958) c. 30m to NE and Battlefield (14698) in adjacent field to E. Stone (L 2m; Wth 0.6m) removed to field fence to S. Possibly stone referred to by Bowman (1934, 232) on P. O'Doherty's land; 'A hole (diam. c. one and one-quarter inches) pierces the corner, c. three feet from top'; hole not noted during site inspection. According to Grove White (1905-25, vol. 2, 221), stone was erected to commemorate battle victory of Ribbonmen over English.
