Situated on a bog-covered saddle of the NE fringe of the Derrynasaggart Mountains rising to Claragh Mountain to the NE and overlooking the Blackwater valley to the NW. The stone circle is incomplete: two upright stones stand 1.27m apart. The W stone (1.15m x 0.28m; H 0.7m) is a probable axial stone and the E stone (0.67m x 0.47m; H 0.7m) is a possible entrance stone. The measurement along the presumed axis, atypically aligned NNW-SSE, is 1.6m. The relationship of the circle to two slabs lying prostrate to S (1.95m) and SW (1.4m) is unclear, possibly they are displaced orthostats.
