On E side of N-S field fence. Located, according to Broker (1937, 34), 'just outside verge of old baby cemetery [(9345)] and fort' (8730).Enclosed on three sides by dry-stone wall (H 0.7m; diam. 0.75m) and toppedby capstone. Opening (H 0.55m; Wth 0.5m) to E with steps down into interior. Last recorded in holy use c. 1876 (ibid.). The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Cork. Volume 3: Mid Cork' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1997).
