What is recorded here

In pasture, on W-facing slope, commanding good views to S, W and N; in grounds of former Drishane convent (9474). Rectangular area (51m ENE-WSW; 38m NNW-SSE) enclosed by two earthen banks with intervening fosse. Innerbank (H 2.4m) is well preserved except on S side where it is eroded and broken. Fosse (D 1.4m) is steep-sided, flat-bottomed (Wth 5m), shallowestto S and waterlogged in SW corner. Outer bank (H 1m) bounded externally by stream on E side; external face cut into due to quarrying on N side towards NW corner. Both banks planted with deciduous trees. Entrance (Wth through inner bank: 3.5m; outer bank: 2m) on S side near SE corner. Interior level; thick overgrowth of bushes and briars towards central area.
