Roadside, mid/late 19th-century limekiln built in natural hollow, beside stream. Front elevation (NW) (H 4.85m; Wth 8.1m) has arched recess (H2.35m; Wth 2.4m; D 2.4m); ledge just above recess arch provided support forlean-to. Funnel infilled. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Cork. Volume 3: Mid Cork' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1997).
