What is recorded here

In pasture, on W-facing slope, overlooking Finnow River valley and Claragh Mountain. Raised, roughly circular area (36m N-S; 32m E-W) enclosed by earthen bank (max. H 2.2m) WNW->S, with external fosse (max. D 0.6m) NNW->S; scarp (H 3m) elsewhere. Bank planted with mature deciduous trees; some pine growing in interior. Interior raised on WSW side to compensate for hillslope; possible souterrain (9081) at centre. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Cork.
