In pasture, on E-facing slope. D-shaped area (straight side 39.5m E-W; projecting 16.9m to S) defined by scarp E->W with slight internal lip, especially noticeable to E and W; roadway running E-W encloses area on N side. No visible surface trace of enclosure to N of roadway. According to local information, 'fort' destroyed when roadway put through it. Broker (1937, 49) describes 'fort', 1/4 acre, double fence formerly, public road goes through it,....all fences nearly gone. Possible souterrain (9039) in interior.
