In ringfort (CO038-02301-); S edge of ringfort destroyed by railway. Broker (1937, 50) noted that 'flags found in water table of railway may indicate a passage to the South'. Bowman (1934, 310) also noted that a 'Souterrain was in this fort, but is now filled in'. Interior of ringfort overgrown; no visible surface trace. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Cork. Volume 4: North Cork' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 2000).
