On top of a rise with land sloping down to S and W. Circular area (22.5m N-S) enclosed by two earthen banks (inner bank: int. H 0.9m, ext. H 0.9m; outer bank: ext. H 1m) to W, N and E, with intervening fosse (D 0.2m); truncated on S side by railway line. Entrance (Wth 2m) to N. Small shed built in interior off-centre to W. Bowman (1934, 310) records souterrain (CO038-02302-) in ringfort. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Cork.
