What is recorded here

In pasture, on NW-facing slope, to S of and above flood plain of Blackwater River. Circular area (25.25m N-S; 25.25m E-W) enclosed by earthen bank (int. H 1.5m); second bank (H 0.6m) survives SW->NE; intervening fosse partially overgrown, banks heavily overgrown. Interior slopes gently down to NW. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Cork. Volume 3: Mid Cork' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1997).
