On the summit of a hill, to the SW of a spring well. A mound (13m x 10m; max. D 0.34m) of heat-shattered stones and charcoal-enriched soil was discovered during archaeological testing in advance of the construction of the N8 Rathcormac-Fermoy Bypass and was excavated in 2003. Excavation revealed two successive circular troughs filled with heat-shattered stones and charcoal-enriched soil. The fill of the primary trough has been radiocarbon dated to 2280-1870 cal. BC. Four additional pits were associated with the mound. Two other fulachtaí fia (CO035-129----, CO035-131----) lay c. 10m and c. 25m to the NE, respectively.
