In pasture, on level ground above gentle S-facing slope down to Blackwater River valley. Circular area (35m E-W) enclosed by earthen bank (int. H 0.9m; ext. H 1.4m). Bank heavily overgrown; gap to SSE. Interior slightly raised; planted with coniferous trees. Site lies at junction of three fields; ringfort (CO035-002---) c. 40m to NE. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Cork. Volume 4: North Cork' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 2000).
