Built against natural W-facing slope, on E side of Carrig River valley. Random-rubble limestone walls encase core. Front wall (H 3.5m; Wth 6.5m) faces S; lintelled corbelled recess (H c. 1.54m; Wth 2.3m), rear of recess collapsed and choked with core material. Shallow depression on top of kiln indicates position of funnel. Ramp to N.
