In wooded valley, on S side of stream. Roughly circular, stone-lined well (2m N-S; 1.5m E-W; D 0.6m), much of lining collapsed; water pumped to nearby house. No indication of holy use. Bowman (1934, 14) refers to it as a holy well named 'Tobar Cranatan - Cranat's well...rounds have long since been discontinued.' He (ibid.) relates local folklore of St Cranathan who turned a man to stone (10035) after he refused to return stolen calf.
