What is recorded here

In sloping pasture, c. 100m N of a stream. A barely perceptible roughly oval grass-covered mound (12.4m NNE-SSW; 8.6m ENE-WSW) of heat-shattered stones and charcoal-enriched soil. The mound is bisected by a NE-SW forest drain and the burnt material (D 0.08-0.44m) is visible in section in the drain. (pers. comm.
