In pasture, on N-facing slope. Stone (H 1.4m; 1.1m x 0.6m) is roughly rectangular in plan and shape, long axis N-S. One of 3 standing stones (9979, 9980) recorded by Bowman (1934, 343) in this townland. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Cork.
