What is recorded here

Below crest of hill, on SE shoulder of Mount Hillary. Oval area (70m WNW-ESE; 66m WSW-ENE) enclosed by low earthen bank (int. H 0.4m; ext. H 0.25m) with internal fosse (D 0.35m). Break (Wth 3m) in bank to NW. Interior slopes down to W. Cairn (11811) c. 150m to E of enclosure, but not visible from it. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Cork. Volume 4: North Cork' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 2000).
