In level pasture, c. 30m to N of River Blackwater. Circular area (30.5m E-W; 28.5m N-S) defined by low rise. Bowman (1934, 66) records single-ramparted fort (diam. c. 40yd) on J. Fitzgerald's land; enclosing bank c. 4ft H. Limekiln depicted on S bank on 1842 OS 6-inch map. Soilmark of bank visible in aerial photograph (GSIAP, W407).
