Shown on 1842 and 1904 OS 6-inch maps as irregular field skirted to N by road. Shown on 1937 OS 6-inch map as irregular field (c. 40m N-S) with field fence SSW->E and road respecting site NW->E; site of church (14529) also marked in interior. According to Bowman (1934, 282) in field called 'Pairc na Cille (field of the church). The plot measures 36yds diam...Surrounding fence partially levelled...A large number of headstones, c. 6ins. high mark the sites of graves. Local tradition says that a priest is buried here'. Area now densely overgrown and inaccessible. According to local information used as famine burial ground and as burial place of soldiers killed in "Cromwellian Battle" in Cullen and in use up to 1900.
