In pasture, atop E-W ridge. Circular area (29m NE-SW; 27.5m N-S) enclosed by earthen bank (int. H 1.05; ext. H 1.15m) SSW->NE; less substantial bank NE->ENE; low scarp elsewhere. Modern gap in bank to ENE (Wth 3.3m). To SW of scarp is small triangular field, enclosed by field fences; hachured as part of enclosure on 1842 OS 6-inch map. Possible souterrain (CO030-09402-) in interior. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Cork. Volume 4: North Cork' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 2000).
