In pasture. Depicted as hachured circular enclosure (diam. c. 50m) on 1842 OS 6-inch map, with lime kiln on S bank. Levelled; slight depression noted in area of site. No visible surface trace of lime kiln. Recorded by Broker (1937, 51) as fort in Kiln Field on Denis McSweeney's land, 'levelled possibly by Dr. O' Sullivan, perhaps about 1860'. Recorded by Bowman (1934, 277) as one of three forts (CO030-084---, CO030-085---) in D. MacSweeney's.
