In pasture, on break in gentle S-facing slope, E of avenue to Ardnageeha House. Circular area (30m N-S) enclosed by worn, heavily overgrown, earthen bank (int. H 0.45m; ext. H 0.8m). Entrance (Wth 3m) to N; numerous cattle gaps in bank. Interior covered in long grass, briars and nettles; souterrain (CO030-08002-) in SE quadrant. According to Bowman (1934, 287), field known as 'Pairc a Leasa - Fort Field'. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Cork.
