In pasture, on gentle SW-facing slope. Circular area (diam. 32m) enclosed by earthen bank (int. H 0.25m; ext. H 1.95m) W->SW; external fosse (D 0.25m); outer earthen bank (ext. H 0.9m) to SE. Interior raised on S side to compensate for hillslope. Quarry extends from WSW towards centre of interior; rubble dumped around edge leaving only sides of interior to N, E and S undisturbed. One of five levelled and partially levelled single-ramparted forts (CO030-043---; CO030-048---; CO030-049---; CO030-050---) recorded by Bowman (1934, 280) on Mr Leader's land.
