What is recorded here

In pasture, on gentle NW-facing slope. Roughly circular area (22m E-W) enclosed by earthen bank, intervening fosse and outer earthen bank. Inner bank (int. H 0.9m; ext. H 0.95m) highest E->SSW; interior H very low NNE->E; gap to SSW (Wth 1.2m), W (Wth 2m) and WNW (Wth 4m). Intervening fosse continues all round; best preserved where outer bank survives. Outer bank (ext. H 0.3m) survives NW->NE, incorporated into field boundary system; SE->SSW as low earthen bank. Raised interior, banks and fosse overgrown with trees.
