In pasture, below crest of hill on N-facing slope. Circular area (internal diam. 29m N-S; 27.4m E-W) enclosed by earthen bank (int. H 1.45m; ext. H 1.23m); external fosse (D 0.93m) NE->N. Bank highest to N where limekiln depicted on 1842 OS 6-inch map; slight hollow remains in bank and scatter of burnt stones noted. Break in bank to E (Wth 3m), NNW (Wth 2m) and N (Wth 1.5m). Line of bank more linear than curved to SE. Fosse flat based; infilled N->NE and used as farm trackway. Interior raised on N side to compensate for hillslope.
