What is recorded here

In pasture, on S-facing slope. Depicted as hachured circular enclosure (diam. c. 20m) on 1842 OS 6-inch map, at junction of three fields. Levelled; roughly circular area (25m N-S; 24m E-W) defined by scarp (H 0.43m) NNE->W; earthen field boundary (int. H 1.4m; ext. H 1.8m) NW->NNE, probably incorporating remains of bank. Interior raised and slopes down gently to S. Field boundary which extended W from site has been levelled. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Cork.
