In pasture, on gentle SE-facing slope. Depicted as hachured square enclosure on 1842 OS 6-inch map; as hachured circular raised area on 1904 and 1938 OS 6-inch maps. Circular area (28m E-W; 26m N-S) defined by low scarp S->E; earthen bank (int. H 1m; ext. H 1.6m) with shallow external depression E->S, incorporated into field boundary system. Second ringfort (CO029-06501-) in adjoining field c. 20m to W. In Barry's (1981, 83, no. 56) list of moated sites for County Cork, from cartographic evidence.
