In pasture, overlooking rolling countryside to S and W. Roughly circular area (50m E-W; 45m N-S) defined by earthen bank (int. H 0.95m; ext. H 1m) to NE, with external waterlogged fosse (D 0.6m); scarp (H 0.95m) to SE, S and W. Rubble removed from quarry, to N of site, dumped on area of bank to N. Swamp outside scarp to SE. Interior slopes down to SE. Souterrain (CO030-07502-) in NW quadrant of interior. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Cork.
