What is recorded here

In rough grazing, c. 130m S of stream. Partially levelled horseshoe-shaped mound of burnt material (L 12m; Wth 12m); opening, with dried-up well, faces NNW. Recorded by Broker (1937, 18) as 'round 20 feet diameter, 3 feet high'; also recorded by Bowman (1934, 260). The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Cork. Volume 4: North Cork' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 2000).
