What is recorded here

In level pasture with extensive view in all directions. Circular area (14.3m N-S; 15.3m E-W) enclosed by fosse (D 0.7m) with external bank (ext. H 0.7m; int. H 0.8m). Causewayed entrances to E (Wth 3m) and to WSW (Wth 2.3m). According to local information, used as children's burial ground (14090). The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Cork. Volume 4: North Cork' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 2000).
