In tillage, near the edge of a gently sloping plateau, overlooking the Funshion River valley. The ground level drops steeply a short distance to the S, to the valley floor. A curving field boundary (C 39m) SSW-NNW, indicated on the 1934 OS 6-inch map, suggests a rath associated with a souterrain (CO027-212002-). This field boundary and others in the vicinity have been removed and there are no visible remains of the possible rath. (pers. comm. Eamonn Cotter)
