Gillman (1896, 422), quoting from a letter from Mr Newenham to Crofton Croker, recorded a stone-lined souterrain at 'Kilcrumpher'. McCarthy (1977, 269-70), after Croker, described two beehive cells joined by creepway; cell 1 entered by creepway orientated along same line as creepway to cell 2. Exact location not known but possibly in the townland of Lisnasallagh as is the church of Kilcrumper (CO027-11401-).
