Overgrown cairn of stones (H c. 1m; 4m x 5m) in N portion of field. known locally as "Cillín Field" and said to have been burial place of bishop. Probably 'Cill Cromglaisi' referred to in Crichad an Chaoilli (Power, 1932, 51) and regarded by Power (ibid., 80) as 'a remarkable place to which we have various references in Saints' Lives etc., [including] Martyr. of Donegal (Apr. 11); the cill is on Manning townland and Cogan's farm, beside an ancient ford of the Funshion.' According to Power (ibid., 23, 26), the Life of Finchu states that Cairbre, king of Munster, was fostered by Sgeallan Ceal of Cromglaisi and subsequently buried here.
