Discovered in 1930 during tillage operations; investigated by NMI. Large undressed boulder (6ft x 4ft; Th 2in-4ft) overlaid a slight hollow (L c. 6ft; D c. 2ft) into which covering stone had sunk; fragments of human skull dug out from hollow by farmer prior to investigation were only contents surviving.
