In rolling pasture. Depicted on 1934 OS 6-inch map as arc of hachures forming scarp SW->NE, which extends out from kink in field boundary to S. Roughly circular area (30m N-S; 24m E-W) defined by low rise to E which runs into field boundary ESE->SW; scarp (H 0.3m) elsewhere. Field boundary which incorporates bank is stone faced and overgrown. Multiple cist cairn (CO027-069---) c. 50m to W. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Cork. Volume 4: North Cork' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 2000).
