Shown in field boundary fence on 1842 OS 6-inch map. Stone removed; fence remains. One of two standing stones (9903) noted by Windele in 1856, (1898, 75), 'about 12 feet high'. Grove White, in 1906, (1905-25 vol. 3, 129) noted 'a few years ago' farmer buried stone where it stood as it was leaning dangerously.
