In level rough grazing land, on the S bank of a stream in an area planted with deciduous trees. A rectangular area (c. 10.5m x c. 8.5m) in which heat-shattered stones and charcoal-enriched soil were identified (pers. comm. John Roche) has been fenced off and is not planted with trees. Thick tufts of grass cover this area and no burnt material was evident. Another possible burnt mound (CO025-173----) lies c. 45m to the W.
