Two-storey house built in 1786 (Grove White 1905-25, vol. 4, 154); named 'Pencil Hill' on 1842 OS 6-inch map. Entrance front (SW) of 5 bays, 1-bay central break front; central round-headed door ope with fanlight; sidelights flank door. Side elevations-2 bays deep. Hipped roof with two large off-centre chimneys; dormer windows. Two 2-storey hipped extensions to rear. Farm buildings around cobbled yard to rear; bellcote on NW range. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Cork. Volume 4: North Cork' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 2000).
