What is recorded here

In pasture, atop knoll. Circular area (24.8m NW-SE) defined by scarp (H 0.95m). Sharp fall of ground immediately outside scarp on E side and c. 4-6m beyond site N->NE. Low worn earthen bank (int. H 0.3m; ext. H 0.4m) SSE->SSW separated from scarp by fosse. Small quarry cuts into interior to SE; natural slope quarried into to N. Interior level; possible souterrain (CO025-01403-) at centre. Line of stones atop scarp to ESE. Ringfort (CO025-01402-) lies c. 15m to S. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Cork.
