In gently rolling pasture. Roughly circular area (35.5m N-S; 32m E-W) enclosed by earthen bank (int. H 0.9m; ext. H 1.35m); external fosse (D 0.25m) to S and W. Bank stone faced to N where incorporated into field fence system; elsewhere remains of stone facing exist on outer bank face. Laneway skirts bank to N and E; external face of bank to E built outwards to form stone-faced angled corner. Interior slopes down gently to S; low, L-shaped bank (L 6.3m E-W; L 2.5m N-S; H 0.25m) in NW quadrant; possible souterrain (CO025-129---) off-centre to W.
