In level pasture. Semicircular mound of grass-covered stones (H 1.55m) with traces of walls running N and S from it. A low (H 0.6m) earthen bank runs N-S, c. 20m E of mound. Site of Lady Doodhaw's Castle (Grove White 1905-25, vol. 3, 293), of which 'a large mound with a small piece of masonry on south side' survived in 1908, though in 1880 'a small portion of the walls existed' (ibid.).
