What is recorded here

In pasture, on gentle NNW-facing slope. Circular area (30.5m N-S) enclosed by earthen bank (int. H 1.5m; ext. H 2.15m); external fosse (D 0.45m). Bank low and narrow WNW->N; earthen material dumped on bank N->ENE extends into interior over short distance. Entrance (Wth 5m) to E. Farm building built immediately outside E bank. Interior overgrown. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Cork. Volume 4: North Cork' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 2000).
