What is recorded here

In pasture, on break in steep N-facing slope. Depicted on 1842 OS 6-inch map as hachured circular enclosure. Circular area (diam. c. 16m) defined by low earth and stone bank (H 0.45m) NE->SSE; overgrown scarp (H c. 1.8m) elsewhere. Interior bisected by N-facing scarp on E-W axis; N half of interior level; S half of interior slopes down to N. Rock outcropping in NW quadrant. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Cork. Volume 4: North Cork' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 2000).
