In SE quadrant of ringfort (CO022-12901-). Bowman (1934, 493) noted that 'in the South part of the inner rampart is a hole 21 ft. by 12, by 4ft. deep.This is the site of a souterrain' . This hole is still visible. Also recorded by McCarthy (1977, 333, Ballyhoulahan III). Possible souterrain (CO022-181---) in adjoining field.
