What is recorded here

In pasture, on SW-facing slope. Roughly subrectangular area (41m NE-SW; c. 35m NW-SE) enclosed by earthen bank (int. H 1.6m; ext. H 0.75m) with external fosse (D 0.65m). Bank to NE and SE forms a continuous curve; banks to SW and NW are linear. Inner face of bank slopes gently down towards interior; outer face is more sharply defined. Interior heavily overgrown and inaccessible. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Cork. Volume 4: North Cork' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 2000).
