In pasture, atop natural rise. Depicted as hachured oval enclosure on 1842 OS 6-inch map; as hachured circular enclosure (diam. c. 40m), on S side of field boundary, on 1905 and 1936 OS 6-inch maps. Levelled in 1965 during 'land project scheme' (OPW). Arc formed by scarp (H 1.6m) survives to N, above terrace (Wth 4.6m) defined by second scarp (H 1.1m). Field boundary exists 2.75m to N of second scarp. Some rock outcrop exposed atop upper scarp and at base of lower scarp. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Cork. Volume 4: North Cork' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 2000).
